What we collect, why, who sees it, and how to change your mind.
This policy explains what Storm Guard Roofing and Building does with the personal information you give us. It was last updated in October 2026.
Storm Guard Roofing and Building, covering Dundee, Perth and Angus. You can reach us on 07950 814881 or at stormguardroofing.info@dr.com.
Only what you give us when you get in touch: your name, your phone number, your email address if you use it, the address of the property and whatever you tell us about the job.
When you send the quote form, it opens WhatsApp on your own device with your message filled in. At the same moment, what you typed in the form (your name, phone number, postcode, the service and the details) is saved to our enquiry log, so we can get back to you even if you don't finish sending the WhatsApp message. When you tap to call, WhatsApp or email us, we record that a tap happened and on which page, but not who you are.
To quote for your work, to carry it out, and to contact you about it afterwards.
Our enquiry log is a Google Sheet, and enquiries are also passed to Innov8 Workflows, who run this website and our enquiry system for us. They hold it only to provide that service to us. This site also reports basic, anonymous usage to Innov8 Workflows (page views and whether contact buttons get used). That sets no cookies and does not identify you.
We do not sell your details and we do not pass them to marketing companies.
Enquiry details are kept only as long as needed to deal with the enquiry and any work that follows from it, plus the period required for tax and insurance records.
We use Google Analytics to see how people find and use this site, but only if you press Accept on the cookie bar. Until then it isn't loaded and no Google Analytics cookies are set. If you accept, it sets the _ga and _ga_3BQ2TE5PS5 cookies and sends Google a record of the pages you view, roughly where in the country you are, and what kind of device you are on. It does not tell us who you are.
Your choice is remembered in your browser, so we don't ask on every page. The site does not set advertising cookies.
Change your cookie choice. If you decline after accepting, the analytics cookies are deleted.
Web fonts are served by Google, two of the homepage videos are served from Amazon CloudFront, the homepage reviews come from MyJobQuote, and the site is hosted on GitHub Pages. Each of them sees the internet address your browser connects from, as any website host does. Messages sent through WhatsApp are handled under WhatsApp's own privacy terms.
You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Contact us on the details above and we will deal with it. If you are not happy with how we have handled it you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
